Privacy Policy

Effective July 10, 2026. This page is maintained by LandscapingCalc to explain what data we collect on LandscapingCalc and how it is used.

Summary

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not run advertising or ad-network tracking.
• We collect the minimum needed to run calculators, sign-in, and email notifications.

What we collect

Account & sign-in

If you create an account, we store your email address and an authentication identifier. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google — nothing else. Passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider.

Calculator inputs

Calculator values you type stay in your browser unless you save them to your account. Saved calculations are stored on our servers and are readable only by you.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address and an unsubscribe token. You can unsubscribe with one click from any email we send.

Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive a customer identifier, subscription status, and billing email. We never see or store your card number.

Server logs

Our hosting stack keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, response status) for security and debugging. These logs are automatically rotated.

Cookies & similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your consent choice. See our Cookie Policy for the full list. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

How we use your data

• Run the calculators and save your work.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Send newsletter or transactional emails you asked for.
• Process subscription payments through Stripe.
• Detect abuse and keep the service running.

Third-party service providers

We rely on the following processors to run the site. Each is bound by their own privacy terms:

• Supabase — database, authentication, storage.
• Lovable — hosting and AI gateway (for the AI assistant and blog drafts).
• Stripe — payments.
• Google Fonts — web fonts.

AI features

Our AI assistant and blog drafts are generated through the Lovable AI gateway. When you use the AI assistant, your prompt is sent to the AI model to produce a reply. We do not use your prompts to train models.

Data retention

Account and saved calculations are kept until you delete your account. Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are rotated on a rolling short window.

Your rights

EU / UK (GDPR & UK-GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent for any optional processing. The legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract (running your account), legitimate interests (security, core product improvement), and consent (optional analytics or marketing where offered).

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Everywhere else

We honor equivalent rights (access, correction, deletion) regardless of jurisdiction. To exercise any right, email hello@landscapingcalc.com from the address on your account.

Children

LandscapingCalc is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from them.

International transfers

Our processors may store data in the United States or the European Union. Where transfers cross regions, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page and the effective date above will be updated.
